Marimekko Spring/Summer 2013 Runway Show ft Carmen Dell'Orefice | New York Fashion Week

NEW YORK - FashionTV is front and center at the Marimekko Spring 2013 fashion show during New York Fashion Week where the pop-inspired label delivered a collection of cheerful and bouncy prints, stripes, polka dots, loose fitting silhouettes, caftans, boxy tops and tropical colors. Inspiration and creativity also came from fruits, shells, flowers and naturalistic designs. Many of the patterns ranged from abstract to swirls and then to light pastels. The Finnish label was sure to deliver their signature style with simple sundresses, cropped pants and funky statements. The label hit the runway for the first time this year, making it a pleasurable show that you shouldn't miss. Keep a look out for 81-year old Carmen Dell'Orefice, who walked in the show.
Almost as good as the clothes, was the casting for the show, not a very typical runway with elderly women modeling down the catwalk looking stunning and fresh.
