Rag & Bone: 90s Supermodel Looks at New York Fashion Week Backstage | Spring/Summer 2013

NEW YORK - FashionTV is backstage at the Rag & Bone show during New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013. Models have their hair slicked back in with lots of hairspray in preparation for the hair look which will be slicked and masculine on top and flowing on the bottom, sort of like they just rose out of water. "It's super cool," says model Dorothea Barth Jorgensen of the runway, "It's gonna be amazing." We also get a word with new model Marine Deleeuw, a French model who is opening the show. This is her first New York Fashion Week.
Gucci Westman, the makeup artist for the show, uses Revlon products to create an early 90s look. She calls the look "90s supermodel" and refers to Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington. "You know those really honest, straightforward pictures." But she includes a thick brow to match the punky hair and calls the look androgynous, a mix of masculine and feminine.
