NEW YORK - Stripes, in nautical Tommy Hilfiger form, are back with a vengeance! Tommy Hilfiger, the All-American sportswear prep label, showcased his Spring 2013 collection in the red, white, and blue format he does best. The nautical this season was in abundance at both Tommy men and women. This included knits for sailing, cable sweaters but also lots and lots of pant suits. Something Gene Kelly would wear perhaps? Maybe. But the tent dresses at the end of the runway modeled by Frida Gustavsson and Vanessa Axente also had open backs and seemed to perfect for those sailing trips in a slightly more feminine form. In short, it was perfect combination of masculine and feminine sailor suits.
